Greenkeeper's Log: Richard Gamble

Following the Winter drill and fill programme I am delighted to say that for the second Winter we were able to play on full greens. The hard work and preparation of the greens have been enjoyed throughout the Spring and Summer with the greens now playing at their best. The initial moss on the greens which was treated now leaves us with a quality putting surface to be proud of. We will once again be drilling and filling in October now that we are confident in the benefits that this gives for the long term. July saw the river burst its banks but I am pleased to say that both the 4th and the 14th fairways are recovering well.
