Pro's Tip
Vincent Brown : Head Professional The Westerwood
One of the most common mistakes in golf is that golfers do not really use their body when swinging the golf club.
Everything seems to be with the hands and arms because they are trying to hit the ball too hard and their body is not properly anchored.
The swing must start at the bottom and work its way up. This means we have to get the feet and the legs working correctly to ensure the top half works effectively. We must drive the legs using the balance in our feet and work the whole body as a flowing unit. As we turn on to the left side we should finish in a balanced follow through position which will control the shot and give optimum power.
Remember that swinging too hard without stability only lessens the leverage you have to strike through the ball.
